June 3, 2016: But Wait! There's More!

When word came in late April that Winnipeg’s supersalesman Phil Kives had passed away, it brought back a rush of memories from the 1970s. Who could forget those amped-up K-Tel commercials promoting miracle products like the Hair Magician, Patti-Stacker, Record Selector (with new, space-age design) and, of course, the Veg-O-Matic? Another Canuck, Dan Akryod, would ride his parody of the slicing and dicing manual food processor to great heights, pitching the Bass-O-Matic on Saturday Night Live.

Always looking forward to your comments.
